Kimchi Restaurant
Korean Food in Vienna

Kimchi has secured its place as one of the best Korean restaurants in Vienna.

What he says

Yukgaejang
If the union of spices, fish sauce and cabbage all festering together in a clay vase gets you hot and bothered rush over to the 3rd district and get your kimchi on. This Korean restaurant seems to be among the best Vienna has to offer (in this price range) at the moment and is the regular stop-over for Korean tour groups visiting the city.
As is the case with many Asian establishments in Wien this restaurant has a few menu items, which in my opinion shouldn’t be there (such as: Thai currys - I loath pan-asian).  But don’t let this put you off.  Kimchi is Korean-run and you can expect all the classics such as: bibimbap, bulgogi, kimbap, japchae etc... as well as a long list of other great dishes.
The wait staff are very friendly and happy to recommend or customize dishes to your taste.

To best enjoy a meal here, round-up a few friends and order-up a traditional Korean meal with lots of sides (kimchi, pickles and the like) and of course plenty of Soju.  If you`re familiar with Korean chow then you definitely be happy to add Kimchi to your restaurant roster.

TIP: They have a tendency here to use black rice with many of the dishes which in some cases I enjoy while in others I think it takes away from the dish.  If you’re having the bibimbap ask them to make it with white rice.

What she says

Bibimbap
