As is the case with many Asian establishments in Wien this restaurant has a few menu items, which in my opinion shouldn’t be there (such as: Thai currys - I loath pan-asian). But don’t let this put you off. Kimchi is Korean-run and you can expect all the classics such as: bibimbap, bulgogi, kimbap, japchae etc... as well as a long list of other great dishes.
The wait staff are very friendly and happy to recommend or customize dishes to your taste.
To best enjoy a meal here, round-up a few friends and order-up a traditional Korean meal with lots of sides (kimchi, pickles and the like) and of course plenty of Soju. If you`re familiar with Korean chow then you definitely be happy to add Kimchi to your restaurant roster.
TIP: They have a tendency here to use black rice with many of the dishes which in some cases I enjoy while in others I think it takes away from the dish. If you’re having the bibimbap ask them to make it with white rice.
